(no subject)

Ok, I just touched up my blondeness which is always a big ordeal. Now for the next few days I will be paranoid that I missed a spot. You know, until I feel I've inspected my hair enough and styled it a few different ways.

Also did a shoot today and did some homework and am doing a little more cleaning up. Tink will be coming by later to laugh at the MTV remake of Wuthering Heights.

Now I am off to talk to the beautiful M for she is online. Yay!

On my television viewing for tonight.

I watched MTVs remake of Wuthering Heights. It was horrible. I think it was actually worse than I thought it would be. A great moment was when they did a little intermission bit and had a brief Q&A with the actors while subtly advertising Starbucks. The guy who played Heathcliff, the girl who played Katherine, and the guy who played Edward were there. At one point they all admitted that they had not read the book. One or two of them may have read it in junior high or something. Actually, I doubt the script writers read the book, I think they all stuck with the Cliff's Notes. It was bad. More true to the story than I expected. There was character ruination and the end made me want to bang my head against the wall but the overall plot line I believe was pretty close to the book. It was still awful. It was . . . I don't have words. Wuthering Heights should not be anywhere near a musical or music-centric movie. That's just retarded and silly. It was so very very pointless. Ack. Bad. Don't watch it. When you are flipping channels past MTV and it comes on for the 30th time in two weeks, run. Get away. Unless you have alcohol and friends who enjoy mocking horrendous train wrecks of movies. That could be worth it. So, so bad.

The bad taste left in my mouth was quickly removed by the season premiere for HBO's new show Carnivale. Oh. My. God. I'm hooked. It's just amazing. And unusual. Very unusual. I don't know that it can really be compared to anything else. Great actors and a story that is shaping up to be very interesting and mysterious. Oh, did I mention that it looks absolutely beautiful? I have no idea what is going to happen but I can't wait to find out. ChaosStream taped it so I get to watch it again! It's good. Really good. I think that's about all I can say about it right now. I don't know how else to describe it. Just go watch it.

Speaking of the really good actors that are in Carnivale, I was looking it up on IMDB, trying to figure out what else I had seen a few of the actors in. At least three of the actors in Carnivale were also in HBO's film version of The Laramie Project. A very good movie that you should run out and rent right now if you have not watched it yet.

It was very nice to see Diz and Tink this evening. And of course talking to the Divine Miss M earlier this evening. Now I should make sure the necessary homework is completed and that I am ready to go to bed.

Afterthought: Sofie's (the fortune teller) mother creeps me out but the "interactions" between her and her daughter are pretty funny. Just needed to mention it. I can't wait until next week's episode!
