Anyone got any advice on looking into Temp agencies in San Diego? Know of some good ones, ones that suck, any other advice? I would greatly appreciate it.

Well this isn't a good start to my morning.

I did not get the job that I interviewed for on Saturday. It was as an office manager for the San Diego branch of a kid's party company. Super flexible hours and fun for an office type job. The pay wasn't really what I was looking for but it would have worked. I really wanted that job. I'm more disappointed than I expected to be. I knew that I was one out of the three that they were considering offering the job to and that I probably wasn't at the top of the list. I guess I was really hoping the first pick would decide not to take it. ~smiles~ Yeah, I'm really disappointed. More than I should be. I'll get over it quickly though.

I am also not going to Vegas today. But I am still going to get paid for going to Vegas so I guess this isn't too bad. Yeah, I am still getting paid so I really shouldn't complain.

I have some catching up that I need to do here but first I am going to do some job hunting. Hope you all are having a good day.

It's nearly 2:30 am and I'm awake.

Finished watching Bully a little while ago. Good movie. I wish I hadn't missed the first half hour though. Probably wasn't the best movie towatch right before bed either. You just can't go right to sleep after watching it.

Tomorrow (or today) is going to be busy. There is the memorial service and a few other things. I'm a bit nervous about the memorial service, I'm going to see some people that I have not seen in quite some time.

Today was interesting. A pretty good day. I didn't get done near what I wanted to but it was a good day.

I need to get to sleep.

This probably won't be funny to anyone but me.

This is from my philiosophy class last night. A little joke between me and the guy sitting next to me (not ChaosStream).
I = Instructor
GNC = Guy in Class
Me = Me. Duh.

I: . . . Then I think Plato would say where is chairness?! I would like to paint it.
GNC: (under his breath) You can't. It's hanging out with floorness.
Me: (whispered between quiet giggles) And tableness.

On my television viewing for tonight.

I watched MTVs remake of Wuthering Heights. It was horrible. I think it was actually worse than I thought it would be. A great moment was when they did a little intermission bit and had a brief Q&A with the actors while subtly advertising Starbucks. The guy who played Heathcliff, the girl who played Katherine, and the guy who played Edward were there. At one point they all admitted that they had not read the book. One or two of them may have read it in junior high or something. Actually, I doubt the script writers read the book, I think they all stuck with the Cliff's Notes. It was bad. More true to the story than I expected. There was character ruination and the end made me want to bang my head against the wall but the overall plot line I believe was pretty close to the book. It was still awful. It was . . . I don't have words. Wuthering Heights should not be anywhere near a musical or music-centric movie. That's just retarded and silly. It was so very very pointless. Ack. Bad. Don't watch it. When you are flipping channels past MTV and it comes on for the 30th time in two weeks, run. Get away. Unless you have alcohol and friends who enjoy mocking horrendous train wrecks of movies. That could be worth it. So, so bad.

The bad taste left in my mouth was quickly removed by the season premiere for HBO's new show Carnivale. Oh. My. God. I'm hooked. It's just amazing. And unusual. Very unusual. I don't know that it can really be compared to anything else. Great actors and a story that is shaping up to be very interesting and mysterious. Oh, did I mention that it looks absolutely beautiful? I have no idea what is going to happen but I can't wait to find out. ChaosStream taped it so I get to watch it again! It's good. Really good. I think that's about all I can say about it right now. I don't know how else to describe it. Just go watch it.

Speaking of the really good actors that are in Carnivale, I was looking it up on IMDB, trying to figure out what else I had seen a few of the actors in. At least three of the actors in Carnivale were also in HBO's film version of The Laramie Project. A very good movie that you should run out and rent right now if you have not watched it yet.

It was very nice to see Diz and Tink this evening. And of course talking to the Divine Miss M earlier this evening. Now I should make sure the necessary homework is completed and that I am ready to go to bed.

Afterthought: Sofie's (the fortune teller) mother creeps me out but the "interactions" between her and her daughter are pretty funny. Just needed to mention it. I can't wait until next week's episode!
